The Fluffy Fluffy Story
Fluffy Fluffy — inspired by the Japanese word “Fuwa Fuwa” meaning “fluffy fluffy” — began as a dream to bring the beloved Japanese soufflé pancake experience to North America. What started as a passion project has grown into the continent's largest soufflé pancake and dessert cafe.
In 2025, we opened our global flagship location in the heart of Manhattan's East Village at 153 1st Avenue. This vibrant neighborhood, known for its eclectic food scene and cultural diversity, was the perfect home for our unique blend of Eastern and Western culinary traditions.
Every soufflé pancake at Fluffy Fluffy is a handcrafted masterpiece. We begin with locally-sourced eggs, whipping the whites to soft peaks before slow-cooking each pancake at low heat. The result? A signature cloud-like texture that melts in your mouth — light, airy, and utterly irresistible.
